In the fall of 2017 Oregon WIC contacted me about doing a photography project to normalize breastfeeding. The goal was to document women in our community breastfeeding their babies and toddlers out in the community to encourage other moms to breastfeed. We only had a week to complete the project but had an incredible response and ended up photographing 14 women breastfeeding their babies in various locations throughout Washington County, Oregon. These images will be used by Oregon WIC on their printed materials, online, presentations and trainings, etc. This was a very empowering experience to be a part of and as a mom who has breastfeed my own three children I felt especially connected.
